We cannot tell a lie!

In first grade we have been learning all about George Washington! We watched a read aloud of the book George Washington and the Cherry Tree on Bookworm Broadcast. If you have not been to that site check it out!
We had a great discussion on lying after we listened to the story and why it is important to tell the truth.
I gave each child two cherries to put on our cherry tree and asked them to write about a time when they told the truth. Here is the sign I used for our tree. Clipart courtesy of scrappindoodles.
