My first graders have 10 spelling words – 5 are sight words and 5 are word family words. Each week, in the “Spelling” center, they write their words 3 times, and then “Rainbow Write” their words by tracing over their words in as many colors as possible. I have created a simple sheet for them, it’s nothing fancy, but I thought others might like it, so, I uploaded it into Google Docs in case you want to grab a copy!
