Ramadan Centers

Muslim Holiday Packet - To Explain Ramadan and Eid to KidsRamadan starts this week.  If you aren’t aware of what Ramadan entails, it is a month on the Arabic (lunar) calendar.  During this month (about 28 days), Muslims are required to fast from sunup to sundown, going without food or drink all day long.  Living in a Muslim country (Morocco), I am very aware of the preparations being made for Ramadan, as are my students, whether they come from a Muslim family or not.  One of my Social Studies standards is to teach Muslim Holidays.  So, I put together a center packet to help guide my students through this topic.

If you would like to help your children learn a little more about Ramadan, and the Muslim Holidays of Eid al Fitr and Eid al Adha, feel free to grab my free center packet from my Teacher’s Notebook store.
