Wild about Animals...Wild about Nonfiction...Wild about Reading!

Here's a literacy center idea that your beginning readers will go wild over. First, students read some basic information about a wild animal. The passages are designed for beginning readers—the structure of each passage is predictable and the sentences are repetitive. 

Next, students complete a corresponding tree chart.
Students can use the picture cards and vocabulary cards to help them answer the questions.
