Winter is in full mode here in Kentucky.
We even had a Snow Day on Friday!
So with that snow day I decided to make up some Winter Flavored math centers.
This pack comes with 5 winter flavored math centers that have been aligned to CCSS.
I created these centers with my first graders in mind but it could be used in second grade too.
Where’s My Home? CCSS 1.OA.7 Students show understanding of the equal sign by determining if equations involving addition and subtraction are true or false.
Snow Day Roll, Add & Color {addition to 18 with 3 addends} CCSS 1.OA.3 Students apply properties of operations as strategies to add three numbers.
Dress Me Warm {missing numbers} CCSS 1.OA.8 Students determine the unknown whole number in an addition or subtraction equation relating to three whole numbers.
We’re Related! {related addition & subtraction facts} CCSS 1.OA.4 Students show understanding of subtraction as an unknown addend problem.
“Snow” Me The Number: Let’s Make 10! {composing & decomposing numbers} CCSS 1.OA.6 Students add and subtract within 20, Demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10.
