Hello WONDERFUL Educators!
I have been thinking about PHONICS lately. I have been trying to wrap my head around "Why students of all ages struggle with reading?" I do know students have trouble with comprehension. However the basis of comprehension and reading is "GETTING THE PHONICS DOWN PACKED."
The question remains...."How do we teach PHONICS in such a way that kids master it?"
I believe the answer is ...." In order to teach PHONICS effectively, we should teach it explicitly and systematically with lots and lots of PRACTICE."
