Tomorrow is Mardi Gras, which is one of my favorite holidays! I grew up in Louisiana at a Christian school, so I truly only know about the fun Mardi Gras is for children. We had parties and king cakes and beads and just a lot of fun. Plus we learned all about the tradition and what it means for Christians. I love the colors and symbols of each.
This week I am working with one of my groups teaching about Mardi Gras. Since little is out there for students, I wrote my own passage with activities. One of the activities is a Main Idea/Details game.
